Ministry Dispatch Logs - Eastern European Operations, 1993-1994

Updated

Description

A leather-bound ledger filled with dense columns of dates, agent codenames, and mission briefs — all stamped with the seal of the British Ministry's Department of International Magical Cooperation. Found in The Hidden Library.

Most entries are mundane: trade disputes, cauldron-thickness regulation meetings, translation requests. But one name appears repeatedly across a six-month span of missions to Moscow and St. Petersburg: Agent Solomon Thorn. His assignments involved tracking post-Soviet dark artifact trafficking rings and liaising with the Russian Ministry. His cover throughout: Muggle academic, specializing in folklore and mythology. The final entry under his name, dated early 1992, reads: "Agent Thorn reassigned to six-month reconnaissance, western Ireland. Cover: Muggle academic." After that, a note in different ink: "Agent Thorn tendered resignation upon completion of assignment. Requested to remain in Ireland under existing cover identity. Approved — no ongoing security concerns. File closed."
