Description

Morgana Carrow is a striking woman in her late thirties with sharp, aristocratic features and piercing dark eyes that burn with fanatical intensity. Her black hair is pulled back severely, and she dresses in elegant dark robes trimmed with silver. Around her neck she wears a silver locket, and faded ritual scars mark her pale forearms—marks she displays with perverse pride.

Personality

Morgana is brilliant, charismatic, and utterly unhinged beneath her veneer of sophistication, genuinely believing herself to be the inheritor of Bellatrix Lestrange's legacy. She is fiercely protective of her son Silas Carrow, viewing him as both her greatest creation and the key to restoring pure-blood supremacy. Her temper is volcanic, and those who disappoint her face swift and brutal punishment.

Background

Born in 1974 to Amycus Carrow (b. 1956), Morgana grew up steeped in pure-blood supremacist ideology but too young for the First Wizarding War. She attended Hogwarts (Slytherin, 1985–1992), where she was a sharp and ambitious student, though unremarkable enough to avoid Ministry attention after Voldemort's first fall.

In the summer of 1992, shortly after leaving Hogwarts, she met Charlie Weasley at a tavern. What began as a brief fling lasted a few weeks until she overheard him talking to friends about needing to "get rid of her," calling her clingy, saying he never should have gotten involved with a Carrow because they're "strange folk." He called it a huge regret. Morgana left without a word.

She returned to her father and told him everything. Amycus ridiculed her for getting involved with a Weasley and told her never to speak of it to anyone. The double humiliation — rejected by the "good" side as disposable, shamed by her own father as a disgrace — left a wound that never healed.

When she discovered she was pregnant with Silas (b. 1993), she told no one who the father was. As far as anyone knows, the father's identity is a mystery. She forged documents declaring Silas a squib to keep him off the Ministry's radar entirely, and raised him alone.

When Voldemort returned in 1995, Morgana finally found purpose. She participated in the Second Wizarding War as much as she could, bringing young Silas with her to Death Eater gatherings and operations. She saw Bellatrix Lestrange in action — her power, her total devotion — and was captivated. When Voldemort fell again at the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998, Morgana saw history repeating itself — and this time she refused to let it. After Voldemort's first disappearance, Amycus had done nothing. He hadn't searched for the Dark Lord, hadn't kept the faith. He had simply blended back into society and waited. Bellatrix Lestrange, by contrast, had hunted for Voldemort until the Ministry dragged her to Azkaban. That was devotion. That was loyalty. Morgana vowed she would follow Bellatrix's example, not her father's. She would find a way to bring the Dark Lord back.

That obsession led her to found Bellatrix's Children (also called "The Devoted"), a cult conducting raids and dark rituals in pursuit of pure-blood dominance and Voldemort's resurrection. It also led her to Seylon Vane's relics and the legend that his ultimate creation could reverse death itself.

Morgana will eventually wield the Ring of Dominion, which will amplify her already considerable power but also accelerate her descent into madness and corruption. She sees the ring as proof of her worthiness to inherit Bellatrix's mantle.

She has been hunting for powerful artifacts and has become aware of Seylon's Rings of Power. Her ultimate goal is to acquire the Ring of Dominion and use its power to subjugate the wizarding world, creating a new dark order with herself at its head.

Her greatest weakness is her obsession with Silas—she would sacrifice anything, even her cause, to protect him. This maternal instinct, twisted as it is, may be the key to her eventual downfall.

Current location: She maintains a hidden estate in the Scottish Highlands, warded with ancient and dark magics that make it unplottable and undetectable by Ministry surveillance.
