Hook

Professor Thimblethorne asks the players to check on his enchanted pumpkin patch after “some… movement was reported.” Thad went ahead to investigate and hasn't returned.

What’s Happening

The soil in the patch is saturated with ancient ley line magic. A group of dormant Watchpumpkins—once used to detect dark magic—has become corrupted and violently awakened.

The pumpkins now sprout legs, glow with eerie light, and behave aggressively. Thad is pinned beneath one, yelling for help and swatting at it with a stale biscuit.
