Nyx
"Nyx" is a name the party overheard from Death Eaters in the frozen north. One of them mentioned that "Nyx was injured" during the encounter, suggesting she was present—possibly as the imposter who had been disguised as Oleg Mirnov.
The party suspects Nyx may be a shapeshifter or infiltrator working with Bellatrix's Children, but they have never seen her true face or learned anything definitive about her identity.

Nyx's real name is Ophelia Shafiq. She is a metamorphmagus—a witch capable of changing her appearance at will.
Description
When forced to show her real face, Ophelia appears as a woman in her early thirties with sharp, intelligent features, calculating hazel eyes, and nondescript brown hair. Her natural appearance is deliberately forgettable, though the party typically encounters her in various flawless disguises. The only consistent feature across all her forms is a slight asymmetry in her pupils—one is slightly larger than the other—a defect in her metamorphmagus abilities that observant individuals might notice.
Personality
Nyx is patient, methodical, and utterly amoral, viewing identity as fluid and loyalty as transactional while serving Morgana Carrow not from ideology but for payment and interesting challenges. She takes pride in her craft, studying targets obsessively and keeping meticulous notes before assuming their identity. Underneath her many masks, she is deeply lonely and disconnected from her own identity—she has worn so many faces for so long that she's not entirely sure who Ophelia Shafiq really is anymore.
Background
Ophelia discovered her metamorphmagus abilities at age seven and found it easier to become what others wanted than to be herself, eventually becoming a freelance infiltrator and spy who sells her services to the highest bidder. Three years ago, Morgana Carrow recruited her to join "Bellatrix's Children," and since then she has been Morgana's most effective agent, infiltrating Ministry departments and even replacing trusted allies. She specializes in long infiltrations—sometimes maintaining cover identities for months—and has no permanent residence, instead maintaining several safe houses under different identities.
