Frostwell Village

Description
Frostwell Village is a small, remote wizarding settlement nestled in a snow-covered valley in the far north. Perfectly crafted ice igloos cluster together in the perpetual frost, their domed walls glowing softly from warm magical light within. At the heart of the village, a large ceremonial circle of ancient carved ice serves as the gathering place, while a sacred brazier burns with eternal golden flame—its warmth sustained by ancestral magic that never melts the surrounding snow.
The villagers are insular but not unfriendly, their lives centered around the mysterious duty their ancestors swore to uphold generations ago.
Background
Frostwell was established by Seylon Vane four hundred years ago (circa 1605) to guard one of his hidden relics—the Ring of Unyielding Ward. The village's founding families were entrusted with protecting the Circle of Eight, a magical obelisk formation a little ways away from the village that serves as an elevator to a hidden dungeon beneath the ice where the ring was sealed away.
Over the generations, the specific details have been lost or mythologized. The current villagers, including Oleg Mirnov and his daughter Katya Mirnova, know they are guardians of something important, but the exact nature of what they protect has become legend. They tell stories of Seylon as an angelic figure and speak of a prophecy about a "seeker" who will one day come to claim what lies within.
Most villagers take this duty extremely seriously, treating it as their ancestral purpose and sacred obligation. However, Nyx infiltrated the village, killed Oleg Mirnov, and impersonated him to manipulate the party into activating the Circle of Eight—something the guardians were unable to do for four hundred years.
