Description
Primrose "Prim" Calloway is an energetic American student with bright eyes and an ever-present enthusiasm that can be both endearing and overwhelming. She often carries books about wizarding history and has a habit of pointing out famous locations around the castle with breathless excitement.
Personality
Primrose is a full-blown Harry Potter enthusiast who treats Hogwarts like a living theme park, constantly referencing the books and films while loudly speculating about secrets. Despite being a bit grating with her fandom energy, she's incredibly brave when it counts and genuinely passionate about magical history.
Background
As an American transfer student, Primrose arrived at Hogwarts with extensive knowledge of its legendary history from books but limited understanding of current British wizarding culture. Her outsider perspective and tendency to draw parallels to famous historical events sometimes reveals connections others miss—even if her delivery makes people roll their eyes.
Story
Prim made her presence known immediately—cornering Caoimhe Keelan, Finlay Figgins, and Otto Noxley on the Hogwarts Express and monologuing about wizarding trivia for the entire ride. Sorted into Ravenclaw alongside them, she became an unlikely companion despite her overwhelming enthusiasm.
Her bravery showed during the Forbidden Forest ambush when she tried to stand up to the extremists holding Blithe Thimblethorn hostage. They humiliated her and broke her wand in front of everyone—a cruel moment that Grimbella Thistlepin later avenged by cursing Elias Flint for laughing at her.
Prim was bitten during the invisible snake incident in Potions class but recovered.
She grew quiet and withdrawn after the research project, then stopped turning up altogether, which sent the party back into Seylon's Tower looking for her. They found her in the Hidden Library with a boy named Silas Carrow, copying out of one of Seylon's books, and dragged her to McGonagall's office.
Since then she kept her distance, still stung that no one had believed her about the letters she said Harry Potter was sending her. The letters stopped coming. Before the end of term she told Finlay and Caoimhe she would not be back for a fourth year, and she left for Inverness.
