The party started off in the bottom floor of the restricted section with Callum, trying to sneak back to Seylon's Tower. They had just defeated a hellhound that was apparently put there to guard the cellar.
they tried to sneak bast Blithe and Bixby's room to the Firefly cellar door at the end of the hallway but after the fight where panting really loud and gave their position away. Caoimhe heard on the other side of the door Bixby wizzlethorpe say who's there. So they ran up to the door to open it. When Caoimhe touched the door knob, though, she disappeared instantly! They didn't have a lot of time so they all decided to just touch it and they vanished.
they found themselves in Blithe Thimblethorn's office. After looking around for clues, they found out that the professors had turned the doorknob into a portkey to discover who was trespassing. Callum revealed that he had the polyjuice potion that Declan purchased in juniper's midnight market. They downed it quickly with the hairs that Callum had and just as they transformed Blithe and Dr. Bixby whistlethorpe came into the room.
Otto turned into professor Grimbella Thistlepin, Caoimhe turned into Callum, and Finlay turned into Miriam.
Otto as grimbella tried to trick into thinking that she had left some papers in there and was with the students because they were talking about school work but he didn't believe her and he sent wizzlethorpe to go get the head mistress while he waited with them. In their conversation, Thimblethorn did reveal that Grimbella (the real one) had provided the Hell Hound they killed to guard the cellar. Otto put on a decent performance that she was sad to hear he had died.
Otto used a subtle spell to cast petrificus totalis on Thimblethorne. It worked and he fell to the floor. He tried to act like he didn't know what was going on but his performance wasn't very good.
on their way back Callum asked them to go back to the tower since nobody was down in the basement anymore so they were turned to the restricted section.
they went up the levels of the tower in Callum was very impressed
on the dragon level they figured out that the key was on top of one of the pipes, a dragon hit it up there.
caoimhe was able to get it down with a bombarda.
then they went up to the next level which was Seylon's suite.
in the first room they found a mysterious book on the portal room. Some sort of instruction manual mentioning runes they could not understand.
they also looked at the poetry and the statue started moving a little bit but not too much.
then they started looking around the bedroom.
Otto got sucked into a crystal hypnotic ball. But they were able to get him out of it by knocking it out of his hands.
they found that if they stood on the runes in the kitchen, a secret door would open to the portal room.
if they stood in another room then a magic door to a closet with magical items was revealed. Caoimhe got some flying boots and Finlay got a mail shirt.
finally, they decided to go through the portal and it took them to ice spider hollow.
they were in a room with two chests and some herbs that contained a faded map. Some clothing items, some gold.
they bombarded a wall to get through it and on the other side and ice spider widow was waiting for them.
the ice spider widow attacked Finlay quickly and nearly brought him down.
Caoimhe quickly immobilized him with immobilus. Finlay cast oppugno sending ice shards flying and cutting the immobilized spider.
together they were taking it down, but when it woke up it teleported behind Findlay and almost killed him with a devastating bite.
Caoimhe finished him off and Callum healed Finlay quickly.
they explored the rest of the cave finding a knife made out of one of the spider's fangs. Caoimhe took the other fang.
they also found a note from somebody from a skeleton holding a wand in a sleeping bag.
next to the skeleton they found a key.
they went outside of the cave and found themselves much much further north in a snowy environment. Wondering what they should do next.
