Description
A goblin of middle years in the sober black-and-gold livery of Gringotts, with long fingers, a longer nose, and reading spectacles pushed up onto his brow when he wants a proper look at someone. He works from a raised desk in the lobby, which puts him at eye level with the wizards he does business with, and he does not come down from it.
Personality
Correct, unhurried and entirely unimpressed. He treats a schoolchild's vault and a great house's the same way, which is to say with exacting attention to the paperwork and none at all to the customer's feelings. He is not unkind. He simply works for the bank, and the bank's interests are not the depositor's.
Background
Goblins have run Gringotts since Gringott founded it in 1474, and the terms have not softened much since. A banker holds the keys, the ledgers and the carts, and decides who goes down to the vaults and who waits in the lobby — a small authority he exercises without apology.
Story
In Session 12 - The Ring in the Vault, he received Callum and the Aurors, and let Callum choose who would go down with him to the Vane Vault. Callum left Tobias and Rafael in the lobby and took only his friends. The goblin who escorted them into the depths was killed by a Killing Curse when the attackers came for the ring.
In Session 15 - The Party at Noxley Hall, he handled Otto's withdrawal for the Wiseacre's and Borgin and Burke's waitlists, and noted — pleasantly, and without any suggestion it was negotiable — that his father would have to be told about it.
