Description
A small drawstring pouch of soft silver-brown hide, no bigger than a fist and lighter than it looks. The leather shifts colour faintly as it moves, a leftover of the Moke it came from. It hangs on a thong long enough to wear under a shirt.
Mechanics
Type: Enchanted container (rare)
Properties:
- Only the person who put an item into the pouch can take it out again. To anyone else the pouch is empty, and no amount of shaking, cutting, or summoning will produce the contents.
- Accio and similar summoning charms cannot pull an object out from inside it.
- It holds rather more than its size suggests, though it is not a bottomless bag: think pockets' worth, not trunks'.
Limits: The protection is on the opening, not the pouch. Someone can still take the whole pouch off you.
Story
The party went looking for one to keep the Ring of Unyielding Ward safe after Callum attuned to it. Hagrid had none and warned they were rare, pointing them (reluctantly) at Wiseacre's and Borgin and Burke's. Neither had stock, so Otto paid to join both waitlists out of his Gringotts vault, and Borgin and Burke's came through a few weeks later. See Session 15 - The Party at Noxley Hall.
