Description
A round, fastidious wizard in his sixties, perpetually dusted with a fine grey ash that no amount of brushing removes. He wears expensive plum-and-green robes, half-moon spectacles tinted faintly emerald, and a heavy ring of keys at his belt. His fingertips are stained green, and when he laughs, which is rarely, a little puff of soot escapes him.
Personality
Shrewd, proud, and deeply secretive. Edward is courteous in the way of a man who has never had to be otherwise, and beneath the manners he is jealous of his monopoly to the point of paranoia. He speaks fondly of "the family method" and never, ever within a hundred feet of anyone about how it actually works.
Background
Edward Floo is the head of Floo & Sons, the family firm that has been the sole licensed maker of Floo powder for three centuries. The Ministry regulates the network, but the recipe that turns ordinary ash into travelling powder has never left the Floo family, and Edward guards it as the last of his line. He is a fixture of respectable commercial society and richer than he lets on.
Story
The party first met Floo at the Noxleys' summer gathering in Session 15 - The Party at Noxley Hall, where they plied the genial drunk for gossip about the Floo network and Caoimhe pickpocketed a red diamond off him.
