Description

A plain silver band, worn smooth, with nothing about it to suggest what it does. Caoimhe wears it constantly and it has become the single most useful thing the party owns.

Mechanics

Ring of Invisibility (Legendary, requires attunement)

• While wearing the ring, you can take a Magic action to give yourself the Invisible condition.
• You must take the Magic action each turn to remain invisible.
• You can take a Bonus Action to become visible again.

Story

Caoimhe has had the ring since at least her second year and has leaned on it harder than any other item in the party's possession. She wore it to trail McGonagall and the professors during the breach at Hogwarts, and stayed invisible for the entire Muggle village episode, so that neither the trucker nor the Vicar ever knew a third child was there.

At Noxley Hall she used it for nearly everything that mattered: following Bridget to the hidden door in the trophy room, picking Edward Floo's pocket while the others distracted him, and slipping out at night to listen to Arthur. It is also the first time it has ever failed her. Nettle looked straight at her, and knew.
