Bellatrix's Children
Description
Bellatrix's Children is a secretive group of Death Eaters that Professor Wizzlethorpe warned the party about. According to Ministry interrogations of captured Death Eaters, this organization is actively hunting for relics created by Seylon Vane. They believe in legends suggesting Seylon created a supreme artifact powerful enough to bring back the dead.
Background
The party first encountered operatives of this group in the frozen north. After escaping the dungeon beneath the Circle of Eight, Death Eaters ambushed them demanding the ring. One of them tortured Otto with the Cruciatus Curse before Aurors Tobias Crane and Rafael Santos intervened.
The captured Death Eaters were questioned by the Ministry of Magic, revealing the organization's name and their obsession with Seylon's relics.
Full Description
Bellatrix's Children is a secretive cell of former Death Eaters operating in the shadows years after Voldemort's defeat. Led by Morgana Carrow, they believe Seylon Vane's hidden relics hold the power to resurrect the Dark Lord or, failing that, restore Death Eater power in the wizarding world. Their methods involve manipulation, infiltration, and using pawns to acquire artifacts too dangerous for them to retrieve directly.
Structure
Morgana Carrow leads the organization with ruthless pragmatism, coordinating multiple parallel operations to locate Seylon's relics. Key operatives include Nyx, a metamorphmagus infiltrator and assassin, and various Death Eater initiates who handle enforcement and direct action. The cell operates independently of other Death Eater remnants, keeping their activities hidden even from former allies to avoid Ministry detection.
True Background
Formed in the years following Voldemort's fall, Bellatrix's Children took their name as both tribute and aspiration—viewing themselves as the inheritors of Bellatrix Lestrange's fanatical devotion. Their research into dark artifacts led them to rumors of Seylon Vane's rings, particularly legends suggesting one might have power over death itself. Though this is false hope, the relics are genuinely powerful enough to aid their goal of destabilizing the Ministry and rising to power once more.
Current Operations
- Manipulating Primrose Calloway via fake letters from Harry Potter to explore Seylon's Tower
- Nyx infiltrated Frostwell Village, killed Oleg Mirnov, and manipulated the party into opening the Circle of Eight (failed - cursed by decoy ring)
- Death Eater initiates ambushed the party emerging from the dungeon (defeated/captured by Tobias Crane)
- Unknown agents searching for other relics
